Proposal packages

3 proposal tiers, named and priced

Adelaide's proposal styling market runs $400 to $2,145, and nobody in it fires an effect at the yes. These 3 tiers are built against that market: what is included, what is not, and a priced add-on menu for everything else.

These tiers sit inside Adelaide's verified market pricing, positioned against the published $400 to $2,145 proposal styling range and the $995 starting point of the only other Adelaide business that combines styling with a live effect. For the secrecy logistics and the permit detail, read proposals in Adelaide first. If you already know your location, check where to propose for its permit position.

The Question sits below the published Adelaide styling floor of $400, because it carries no live effect and no photographer. The Moment sits in the middle of the published range, at the point where a competitor selling styling alone would already be charging you $950 to $1,200 for the arch and red carpet, but adds the cold spark cue on top rather than as a separate quote. The Whole Night sits below the $2,145 ceiling of the styling-only market while adding the effect, the photographer and the permit handling that the styling-only operators do not offer at any price.

A simple way to choose: if the location needs no permit and you are confident with styling alone, The Question does the job. If the moment itself, the cold spark cue, the second she turns around, matters more to you than a photographer, go straight to The Moment. If the location is Mount Lofty Summit, Waterfall Gully or anywhere inside the Adelaide Park Lands, or you want dry ice and the whole thing documented properly, The Whole Night is built for exactly that.

01. The Question

$550

Inc GST

The essentials, built for a location that does not need a permit and a moment that does not need a live effect. Suits a private garden, a booked-out restaurant corner or a friend's backyard, where the only approval needed is the person who owns the space.

Included

  • WILL YOU MARRY ME neon or LED letters
  • A styled setup: a backdrop sized to the location
  • Candles
  • Setup before you arrive and pack-down after

Not included

  • A cold spark or dry ice moment fired on the yes (see The Moment)
  • A photographer
  • Florals
  • Permit handling for a location that needs one
  • Travel outside the Adelaide metro area

02. The Moment

$950

Inc GST

Everything in The Question, plus the effect nobody else in this market fires: a cold spark cue timed to the exact second she says yes. Suits a location that is already accessible without a third-party permit, where the point of upgrading is the moment itself, not the paperwork.

Included

  • Everything in The Question
  • A cold spark moment fired on the yes
  • An arch, upgraded from a backdrop
  • Red carpet and additional styling

Not included

  • Dry ice
  • A photographer
  • Florals
  • A location with a permit already handled (add it below if yours needs one)
  • Travel outside the Adelaide metro area

03. The Whole Night

$1,750

Inc GST

The full layer stack: styling, the live effect, dry ice, a photographer and florals, at a location where the permit is already sorted. Suits Mount Lofty Summit, Waterfall Gully or a Park Lands location, where the 8-week lead time is the real planning constraint, not the budget.

Included

  • Everything in The Moment
  • Dry ice alongside the cold spark cue
  • A photographer for the moment itself
  • Florals
  • A location with a Department for Environment and Water or City of Adelaide permit already lodged, where the location needs one

Not included

  • Champagne or drinks service
  • Extra cold spark machines beyond the standard spec
  • Travel outside the Adelaide metro area

Legal position stated as at 10 August 2026. South Australia's Explosives Act 1936 and the Explosives (Fireworks) Regulations 2016 are the operative law. The Explosives Act 2024 (SA) received assent on 19 September 2024 but had not commenced as at that date, and it will change licence names and fees when it does. Nothing here is legal advice: confirm your own position with SafeWork SA.

Add-on menu

Middleton Events, the only other Adelaide business combining styling with effects, prices its own add-ons from $195 to $2,000, and the fact that it visibly works is the reason this menu exists rather than a single all-in number. A tier gets you a coherent package; the add-on menu lets you move a single line item without paying for a whole tier upgrade you do not need.

Where a figure below says "quoted per job" rather than a specific number, it is because no Adelaide operator publishes a standalone price for that item and inventing one would be a guess dressed up as data. Say what you want in the enquiry and the figure comes back specific to your booking, not rounded up to sound tidy.

Proposal package add-on pricing, Adelaide, verified where marked
Add-onPriceNote
Extra cold spark machineQuoted per jobThe dry hire floor for an unstaffed machine is $150 to $170. An operated add-on to an existing booking is priced against that floor, not below it.
Dry ice moment added to The Question or The MomentFrom $275Verified standalone Adelaide pricing runs $275 to $475. Cheaper as an add-on than a standalone booking because travel and staffing are already paid for.
PhotographerQuoted per jobNot separately published anywhere in the Adelaide market. Priced against the specific photographer matched to your booking and location.
VideographerQuoted per jobAs above.
FloralsQuoted per jobScales with the size of the arch and the season.
Champagne or drinks setupQuoted per jobSubject to the venue and location permitting alcohol on site.
Permit handling (DEW or City of Adelaide)Quoted per jobLead time matters more than fee here. A Cleland National Park event agreement needs 8 weeks.
Travel outside the Adelaide metro areaQuoted per jobApplies to the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Victor Harbor and the Fleurieu.

Wedding Sparks Adelaide is a specialist enquiry service, not a hire company. We take your date, your venue and the moments you want, check what the venue actually permits, and hand the job to a verified South Australian operator. We do not hold a pyrotechnician licence and we do not claim to.

The 3 tiers above are indicative pricing for that enquiry and matching service. Nothing on this page is a locked invoice: it is the starting point for a conversation about your date, your location and whichever verified operator suits both.

None of the 3 tiers assumes fireworks. Every effect named above, cold spark and dry ice, runs without a South Australian pyrotechnician licence. A genuine outdoor fireworks moment is sometimes asked for alongside a proposal and is always possible, but it sits outside these tiers entirely and needs the 4 to 6 week lead time set out on proposals in Adelaide, not the 2 week turnaround the rest of this page is built around.

FAQ

Questions about the packages

Answers stated as at 10 August 2026. If yours is not here, put it in the enquiry form and it gets a straight answer, not a brochure.

  • Are these Wedding Sparks Adelaide's own prices?

No. They are indicative package prices built against verified Adelaide market data, for an enquiry and matching service. You are matched to a verified South Australian operator, and the final price is confirmed for your date, location and any permit before you book.

  • Can we add a cold spark moment to The Question?

Yes, as an add-on rather than a package swap, though it is usually cheaper to book The Moment outright if you already know you want the effect, because the moment there is bundled with the arch and red carpet upgrade rather than priced alone.

  • What if our location needs a permit?

Say so in the enquiry. The Whole Night includes permit handling for locations that need one. On The Question or The Moment it is priced as an add-on, and the lead time, up to 8 weeks for a Cleland National Park agreement, matters more than the fee.

  • Do you charge extra for December?

December is Adelaide's busiest proposal month by a wide margin, so it books out early rather than costing more. The number that matters in December is how far ahead you enquire, not the price.

  • Can we upgrade after booking The Question?

Yes, provided there is enough lead time before the date to add the arch, red carpet and cold spark cue that come standard in The Moment. The closer you get to the date, the more an upgrade depends on the operator's availability rather than the package itself.

  • How does this compare to booking a styling company directly?

A styling-only operator in Adelaide charges $400 to $2,145 for the arch, neon and candles alone. These tiers price that same styling against a live cold spark or dry ice cue fired at the yes, which no styling-only operator in this market offers at any price.
